About the event

We are privileged to have Dr. Thenral Mangadu as our keynote speaker, where she will share her research findings on minority health disparities and public health evaluation, as well as her motivation for pursing this work in the borderland.

Join a panel discussion comprised of Isidro Torres, Director of NAMI El Paso, Anaysa Arce, Project Coordinator for UTEP's Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, and Luciana Garcia, a practicing emotional mastery coach as they delve into issues affecting the region and helpful opportunities available for all. This transformative conversation will explore topics such as:

  • The stigma behind therapy and addressing mental health
  • The increased importance of focusing on mental health after COVID-19
  • Workplaces that support mental health
  • Community resources

Enjoy complimentary beer, wine, and light snacks and be moved by spoken word poetry performances by Richie Marrufo and Patty Orozco.
